Unitarian Universalist Association
 Home

Unitarian Universalist services are similar to most other churches. There are readings and hymns, often live instrumental or choral music. There is a time for people to share significant events in their lives. There is often a story for children early in the service, before they leave the sanctuary for their classes downstairs. You are welcome to visit and to explore with us. Wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing!

Unless otherwise noted, all services and children’s religious education programs take place on Sundays between 10:30am and 11:45am. Child care is available.

We invite you to remain after the service for coffee and conversation.

Past month’s services can be found here.

Living on the streets is a whole different world. Or is it? Come hear a first hand story of a brief journey of immersion into the life and culture of the homeless. There are surprises as well as serious reflection.

Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast 9:30am
The Membership Committee invites you to come early to church on Sunday and have breakfast on us! We’d like to thank you for all you do for our beloved community. Ever pulled a weed, swung a hammer, provided hospitality, ushered, given a sermon, taught a Religious Education class, hosted a potluck, or served on a committee? We also want to include the people who quietly do things for Northlake that may go unnoticed. Come enjoy food and fellowship and celebrate with us as we honor all of you — Northlake’s volunteers

Strange Greetings

When I first arrived in Kirkland, I got a strange greeting. It made me think about greetings in general and the information they convey. What do you say after “hello”?

Last day of RE for church year

Flower Communion (R.E. Sunday)

Flower Communion We are connected with one another in our community of faith. We are connected, also, backwards through time, with our earliest theological ancestors. We will participate together in Flower Communion, one of the very few distinctive Unitarian Universalist sacraments. Please bring a flower to be placed next to the chalice for this festive and meaningful ceremony. This service will include a special Bridging Ceremony for our young adults graduating from High School, as well as a Baby Naming for our youngest blessing – Jensen.

The Green Man Returns!

Today we celebrate the longest day and shortest night of the year—the summer solstice. Our Litha ritual will include a “bonfire” and time to add our flames to the fire. There may be more stories of the Green Man, John Barleycorn, or Robin Goodfellow. There could even be a guest appearance by Nick Bottom. This will be a fun service for the whole family.

Town Hall meeting after service.
