Unitarian Universalist Association
 Home

Unitarian Universalist services are similar to most other churches. There are readings and hymns, often live instrumental or choral music. There is a time for people to share significant events in their lives. There is usually a story for children early in the service, before they leave the sanctuary for their classes downstairs. You are welcome to visit and to explore with us. Wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing!

Unless otherwise noted all services and children's religious education programs occur on Sunday at 10:30 AM and last approximately 75 minutes. Child care is available.

We invite you to remain after the service for coffee and conversation.

Authenticity

Authenticity is perhaps the most important spiritual quality to which we can aspire. Paradoxically, it requires far less striving and far more relaxing than we have been led to believe.

Would You Like to Hold the Baby?

A Christmas Intergenerational Worship Service,. Join Northlake Church for the annual Family Holiday Service. Drawing inspiration from our Judeo Christian heritage we will celebrate the spiritual truths and metaphorical beauty found in the Nativity story. There will be a special children’s pageant with lots of opportunity for singing and enjoying sacred moments honoring the season of Love, Hope and Peace.

Welcome the New

The Burning Bowl ceremony is a time when we gather at the close of the year to reflect, identify and release those habits, beliefs, resentments, and behaviours that we no longer want to carry with us as a part of our consciousness. These characteristics that we choose to release will be written out and symbolically “released” as they are dropped into the burning bowl. This is followed by writing a personal affirmation for the coming year — a note to our higher self, declaring our desires, hopes and dreams for the coming year.

You are welcome to bring a reading or a poem to share.
