TOWN MEETING
APRIL 15 – After Service
Dear Northlake Friends,
Happy springtime! With spring comes new growth in our gardens, and it can be confusing to figure out what’s a weed and what’s a flower.
Our church is growing in many ways, and confusion can result here, as well. Lately I’ve heard that people have been asking questions about the church – its direction, budget, priorities, ministry – and also about General Assembly.
That’s great! I am concerned only that members and friends may not have enough venues in which to ask these questions. So your President, Jim Mason, and I will meet with anyone who’s interested, after church this Sunday, April 15, in a sort of informal Town Meeting, or “Church 101,” or, “Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Church but Were Afraid to Ask.”
So come, bring your questions – and ask them aloud, if you wish, or write or type them and bring them along in writing if you’d rather be anonymous. There are no dumb questions! Jim and I will do our best to get answers for you.
We’ll meet for about 45 minutes, and if there are more questions than we have time to answer, we’ll schedule another Town Meeting.
Please be assured, too, that I am always available for conversation, whether in person or over the phone – if you ever have a question or a concern or an idea or comment, please talk to me. I always welcome your input and want to improve communications.
See you Sunday!
– cheers, Amanda
