Intentional Living
We affirm and support the interdependent web of all life.
— Unitarian Universalist Association, Seventh Principle.
The green stuff. Moolah. Dough. How much of our lives are spent pursuing it? And where on earth does it go, once we get it? What is the cost of this pursuit? What is the price of our debt? Do we really know the impact of our spending? And what about our savings? Do you know which corporations are fed by your mutual funds?
But its not all bad. Money is a kind of power, and it can be used intentionally. Cut off the fuel, and a destructive machine grinds to a halt; direct the fuel in another direction and help empower people who are really making constructive changes possible.
