Intentional Living
We affirm and support the interdependent web of all life.

Transportation — maybe the most serious, demanding, and difficult problem facing man and Earth. The way we get around has changed our planet, had a disporportionate impact on our economy, and has a profound impact on our foreign policy.
We need to know what options and alternatives exist for us today, and how we can support research that will lead to better choices tomorrow. Here are some of the sites we’ve found that seem especially helpful:
- Carpool.Take the bus.Ride that bike! Even one day a week. One third of all private auto mileage is spent commuting to and from work.
- Have you considered selling your car altogether? Check out FlexCar.
- Keep your tires inflated properly. This extends the life of the tires — keeping them out of the landfills — and conserves fuel.Buy the longest–lasting, most feul–effecient tires possible.Rotate them every 6-8,000 miles.Patronize a tire store that recycles.
- Recycle your used motor oil. Patronize shops that recycle their oil.
- Wash your cars in a car wash — not your driveway. The oil– and detergent–laden runoff from your hose goes down the storm drain and never sees a wastewater treatment plant, but car washes are designed to collect and treat that water.
