Religious Education Committee
The religious education program weaves a pattern of love and learning, nurturing the spirit within our children, youth, young adults and others, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment that honors our heritage celebrates our lives together, and is mutually enriching for people of all ages.
The Religious Education Committee strives for excellence in religious growth and learning by building an engaged, multi-aged community that does not have to choose between religious education and worship. Our program fosters Northlake’s mission of spiritual development, welcome, care of the congregation, and outreach to the greater community.
The Religious Education Committee, in coordination with the Director of Religious Education, has the responsibility of planning and supervising the religious education program of the church.
- Formulate goals, objectives, and evaluation of the religious education program
- Determine policies with DRE
- Establish the religious education program
- Establish the budget for the RE program
- Provide proper facilities and equipment
- Select and train teaching staff
- Maintain communication with the total church community
- Plan parent education meetings and workshops
