Chapel Work Parties
Saturday, January 31, 2009
Northlake friends and family —
We’re having a half-day work party this Saturday to clean up the grounds for the school and RE opening next week.
I COULD USE SIX PEOPLE TO HELP WITH:
- Backfilling the courtyard trench and compacting
- Spreading gravel on the path and courtyard area
- Moving and covering the fencing material to protect it from the elements
- Pressure wash the cement entries
We’ll start at 9am and finish at 12:30.
Please bring shovels, gloves and eye protection, if you have them.
Thanks, Brian
Now is the time for all good men and women to come to the aid of their chapel!
As we head into the home final stretch of the project, we are running short of time and money. There are a few, key projects that require volunteer ownership.
We need congregation members to drive the following items:
- Painting the upstairs chapel and meeting room walls – Thank you, Jackie Mason, for taking this on!
- Building the chapel stage – requires a good finish carpenter… Can you help us? (Contact Brian or Sue.)
- Installing oak flooring in the mezzanine – requires a good finish carpenter… Can you help us? (Contact Brian or Sue.)
We also need volunteers to continue to help on our Saturday work crews. NO EFFORT IS TOO SMALL. EVERY HOUR YOU CONTRIBUTE SAVES US TIME AND MONEY.
And we need people to provide lunch for our hard working volunteers. Contact Ann Rotermund ( ) if you can provide a dish for a Saturday work party.
Each hour we contribute brings us one hour closer to our goal.
Each hour we contribute saves us one hour of paid labor.
Each hour we contribute brings us together as a community.
As we near the end of our chapel labors and our chapel budget, we are truly counting each hour twice!
Thank you in advance for your commitment to Northlake!
